Media Diary: "Yo Dre, I got somethin' to say..."
All Media is ideological and therefore, arguably, all media is ideological. A lot of the time this is implicit and coded into the themes and representations of a media text.
For other products it is explicit - it is loud, proud and vital. It is intended to inform, provoke or even convert people to a specific way of thinking.
This week you need to analyse a piece of media from any type that you are familiar with that has a political message and deconstruct how the text convey's that message. How does it make its point, how does it persuade us to share that specific viewpoint?
Some types of media are expected to be political, others are assumed to be for entertainment only. What happens when something designed to entertain has something to say?
You must include images or video clips that are relevant to the discussion in your blogpost and you must also use the categories 'Media Diary' AND 'Year 12 Week 7'
