Analysing Photographs

This picture has a large focus on the subjects. They take up most of the frame and what is not blocked by them is blurred to draw attention to them. The picture has a darker lightening and tone possibly to represent the context of the picture.

All the people seen are wearing masks which does prevent a full view of the facial expressions and the story they tell but does make the picture more real and shows the struggles of the time. All wear matching clothing and looking down seemingly affected by their struggles and feeling tired. The subject at the centre of the picture however holds their head high and this subject is intended to be the main focus.
