This extreme wide shot uses rule of thirds to demonstrate a devastation that has taken place amongst a wide area. The photographer smarty includes this shot type as it captures the impact both close by but further back too, as very briefly through the smoke we can just about see the houses on the hills within the back.

In the foreground we see the firefighters ensuring safety around the location, keeping civilians safe as it is their job.

The colours are dark and miserable, greys and blues- this reinforces the idea that this is not a good story, it acts as another devastation for the world to see.
From the views of palm trees and knowledge of previous wildfires we can assume that this is taken place in America. Whilst America is a land of dreams and hopes for many, this photo could act as a comment on Global Warming and our contribution to fires and the ozone layer. Whilst we view the world in an idealised way, seeing palm trees as a resort location, we forget that fires can occur anywhere as the world gets hotter.
Possible headlines:
Another wildfire devastation hits.
You're destorying our world.
America not so full of dreams.
