analysis of movie poster

This poster focuses on the dynamics between men and women. The main start the film is is a woman called Susan Kohner, so she is seen at the start of the billing board instead of the man being before him, this is role reversed for the time period because the men were usually more dominant. This is odd for the time period because men were usually seen as more dominant and if the women acted out of line they they would be dealt with by the man of the house.

Also seen in the poster is a woman hitting a man, at the time period this would be seen as very strange and would not happen in public because of the time period, couples were more conservative.
