Attitude includes celebrities in many aspects of their stories... whether that be in relation to their most prevalent theme of lgbtq+ rights and acceptance, or in order to gain an audiences interest through using their 'star power.' Either way, this means that there are different ways in which celebrities have been depicted.
One example of how a celebrity has been introduced in an article solely to be used for their stardom is an entirely pointless article is of one titled 'Perez Hilton says he apologised to Britney Spears.' Within this article, the whole point is that he took some time off of work and apologised to people he has treated poorly. It doesn't disclose any other information and is incredibly vague, this article could arguably be to discuss her new documentary which has just came out and could be used as he audience are likely to have seen it and want to click to see if it has any relevant information on it.
In contrast to this, another article is titled 'Gok Wan hits back after suffering homophobic abuse from a group of 'lads.' Whereby within the article, we are told how he was hurled homophobic language as he was walking through the airport. One thing about this article which is important is that Gok is not presented as a victim, but rather the opposite. It is celebrated that he payed no attention to those closed minded people and instead took to social media which lead to support from others 'No one should have to put up with those comments.' This demonstrates how celebrities are people too and shows a more human side to them, showing they have every right to be upset over an issue as such yet without painting him as being weak.
Celebrities are sorted into a range of categories including news, entertainment and style. This could demonstrate a very stereotypical representation considering it shows that celebrities are seen as entertainers rather than just real people. It encourages the audience to view celebrities as being different to them, emphasising the differences between us and celebrities considering they are presented as role models. An example of this is a news article titled ' 'imagine dragons singer Dan Reynolds donates childhood home to lgbtq organisation,' firstly, his band is put before his name which reiterates his career is just as, if not more important than him as a person. Secondly, it presents him as somebody who should inspire people to also donate considering he has donated his cherished childhood home- something which holds many of his memories in, to a cause and makes him seem very selfless.
