Bee Movie : movie review

Updated: Jan 3, 2020

The bee movie is a adventure/comedy family film. The film was given 50% on rotten tomatoes and a 6.1/10 on IMDb.

the movie explores the juxtaposing idea of human and insect friendship. At the start of the movie, we are introduced to Barry Bee in his “home” getting ready to get a job in a hive. we are immediately introduced to a comedic aspect of the movie due to the honey usage for almost everything in the bees morning routines, hair jel, mouth wash, deodorant and mich more. The movie uses a mryiad of vibrant colours such as yellow to express happiness within the movie.

later on, we are introduced to the humans within the Movies while the bees are in a state of panic as they are stuck to a bright green tennis ball the bees are hit around whilst being stuck on this tennis ball adding a climax section to the movie. This is the panic section of the movie which urges the audience to watch in fear as to what is happening to the bees. this is soon resolved though as the bees enter the humans home and they form a relationship.

the movie on a whole has an underlying message of saving our planet for the parents watching with their children. It shows images of what the world would be like without bees and how most of our beautiful aspects will be destroyed such as nature. Overall the the underlying meaning of the movie is very powerful and targeted towards the older generation who will either be watching with their children or just watching for a laugh the message is one of that if we do not protect our world, it will soon be destroyed, this is enhanced by the scenec of the fast motion changing of seasons until the whole of the world is without nature.
