Black Panther: Political Context

#Blacklivesmatter campaign has not always been around unfortunately to support the life's of those who have a different skin colour to you, especially no justice has been served for those in particularly in the past when needed. #Blacklivesmatter became more popular to media in the dramatic year of 2020 when a shocking death of the man named, George Floyd, got killed by a policeman after being arrested. The shocking video became a very popular figure which left a lot of around the world speechless and changed a lot of individuals' views on the world. Everyone in the world was persuaded to post a 'black screen' on their Instagram to show their support to those with black family members or even themselves. As well as this, protests went global for people to show their ideologies and support to those who haven't got justice served in the past and trying to change the course of the future.


In 2009, the first black president of the United States of America, Barack Obama was elected 44th president of the USA. He was re-elected November 6, 2012, his second inauguration was on January 20, 2013, and his presidency ended on January 20, 2017, with the inauguration of Donald Trump. When George Floyd was murdered in 2020, Trump stated to the world what he had done in the past 4 years to Black Americans while he was President. His tweet made a lot of individuals' around the country and the world angry, because of his bragging with what he has done, when in reality, some individuals' believe he didn't actually do anything. A lot of individuals' not only in the United States of America, but also in other countries around the world, preferred when Barack Obama was in power around the country and missed his ways a lot more than Donald Trumps'.
