Cara Delevingne - Interview

The medium I will be talking about that was able to change my opinions as well as my outlook on life, will be an interview with the model Cara Delevingne and Rupert Everett.

The interview is only seventeen minutes long, however, it is able to talk about many controversial as well as sensitive topics such a mental health and the media representation of models.

The interview is able to provide me a new view of models with mental health issues as Cara Delevingne talks about how the idea that is provided by the media that 'if you are skinny and pretty' that you will be happy, however, from her own personal experiences through a poem she is able to show that growing up she did not feel happy even though as she got older all of these aspects developed.

The interview was able to make me feel comforted by the situation and topic of mental health issues as not many people within the modelling industry talk about it; the idea that those who are respected and loved for their appearances are not happy; this is able to possibly show that anyone can be affected by mental health issues.

Moving on from this, the interview is able to change my views on models in general. Being a model, Cara Deleveingn is able to show a different representation of models that the media e.g. magazines and newspapers.

For examples the media, e.g. magazines and social media such as twitter and Instagram are all able to portray models and women in a particular way e.g. that they're all happy and perfect; however, though this interview my opinions as well as that 'general' portrayal is able to change through the topics that are being discussed.
