Coraline

Coraline is a 2009 American stop motion American dark fantasy horror film , directed by Henry Selik .Produced by Laika , as the studios first feature film .Coraline made a huge mark in stop - motion animation when it was first released . There had been other stop motion animation over the decades , some of which were office hits . It looked more complex and sophisticated than anything else that had previously come down the pipeline . Coraline took director Henry Selik four years to complete . Coraline opened to £16 million in February 2009 and eventually accumulated an impressive £75 million gross in North America plus an additional £49 million overseas.

This was a childhood film I had on DVD and frequently rewatched the most as i felt very enticed by it . It follows Corallines perspective of the main character Coraline moving to her new home with her parents in Oregon, shortly after she finds a secret door with a passage way that lures her into her dream world . She comes to the realization the world is not what it seems and is exposed to the truth. I felt like i went though this journey with her as a kid and very immersed in the movie.

Overall, I think this movie is unique , as it in between the lines of a animation and horror. Although it advertises a children animation it demonstrates a amusing storyline and plot that would entertain all audience.
