From what is evident, the tabloid's bold and all-caps headline instantly catches the viewers eye introducing them to a row featuring Boris and his girlfriend which ended in the police getting involved, hinting that this story is more for a gossip.
The use of the quote "Get off me... get out of my flat" being in a red font could be a semantic code as it could have many different ways of reading this - the red could signify anger or fear. This quote could also be an enigma code as viewers aren't exactly sure who said it. However, the selection of the image of Boris' girlfriend may suggest it was her who said it. her mouth hung open with a facial expression like she's shouting it, her raised eyebrows almost present fear in her eyes, viewers are also reassured it was, in fact, Carrie who had screamed that. This representation of Carrie being presented as almost vulnerable may reinforce bell hooks' idea.
