This cover was published on the 25th of April 2023, the cover includes multiple headlines, however, the focus of the cover is Martin Odegaard. The 24-year-old at the time was on track to lead Arsenal to their first premier league trophy since their invincible season in the 2003/2004 season. The framing of the image depicts Odegaard in the foreground of the cover, although being a young man the captain’s armband combined with the framing of the magazine cover gives connotations of leadership and power as he is the most important on the cover, even though blocking parts of the FourFourTwo headline, which feels very typical of the genre. Furthermore, the magazine offers engaging topics of discussion that are relevant to the time of the cover being published including Cristiano Ronaldo’s infamous move to Saudi Arabia, and an interview with ex-footballer Joey Barton.
