Glamour is a online womens magazine published by Conde Nast publications. Founded in 1939 and first published in April 1939 in the USA, it was originally called Glamour of Hollywood.

I have noticed that the is a prominent feature on many fashion magazines and is defiantly something I would like to feature in my own coursework. The colour scheme continues right into the outfit GiGi Hadid is wearing which is another strength of the front cover. Using GiGi Hadid , one of the most well known fashion models in the industry plays to the fashion genre hugely and people will automatically associate Gigi Hadid with fashion and in combination with the masthead and the coverlies, a audience will have no doubt what the genre is and who it is targeting.We also see a list of well known female celebs with Gigis name enlarged, so we are drawn to her name and then are exposed to the rest. Aswell as this from the cover we can clearly see the magazines ideologies and how it has feminist views from " Women of the year" in a bright pink eye-catching font and colour. this is important or a magazine to show its ideologies explicitly to show who it is aimed at and why.

They also do a series called "in 2 minutes" where they go trough the stages of particularly taboo topics for women to talk about in 2 minuets in a attempt to normalise them again showing a change in attitudes and promoting their feminist ideologies. This particular video is " Your period in 2 minutes". The use of "Your" in this title makes it more personal to the audience and encourages them to believe that it is ok to discuss topics like these as they are perfectly normal. This video is also staged in a fun way as to not scare people and to make them feel comfortable and to Gaian reiterate the fact that it is a normal process. Glamour here is attempting to make a change in line with their ideologies.
