The framing of the image: This long shot image, shows two women standing in the water in the foreground along with five children swimming in the background. In this image we see the pieces of clothing scattered on the floor, the floor seems to be very dry ad earthy which suggests that this image was taken in a third world country because in the distance we see no signs of buildings. The colour of the image is quite dull with the neutral colours of the environment in addition to this, there is no shade in this image as the image has been taken in a wide spaces with natural sunlight covering the distance. The woman in the image in the foreground is wearing a unique patterned wrap around her, the other woman is wearing shorts and a vest top these choice of clothing implies that they live in a hot country. Their body language seems to be very chilled and relaxed as the children look like they are enjoying them selves swimming. In addition to this, their facial expressions look like they are focusing on something, there is no sign of happiness or enjoyment from the women therefore this also give me the impressing that this situation is not good for them. However, there are some elements that suggests that the people in the image are washing themselves. Due to the scene of the empty field in the background suggests that these people don't have many cleaning materials so they have to go and bathe in this pool of water. Moreover, in this image you can see that this water spreads across a wide area through the grass which gives me the impression that these pools of water are actually floods. This image overall suggests that something traumatic has happened to these people.
