This is a medium-close up shot of a woman who appears to be in her home. The image is composed so that the woman is centred in the middle of the photograph and there is a lot of excess space around her. This gives off the impression that she feels alone and isolated in this world, this is also further signified by the fact that the surrounding area fades to black, this use of shadowing around her makes her stand out and draws the viewer's attention to the fact that she is alone in the darkness. The fact that this woman is confined to this space could express how she feels trapped in her own mind and is unable to leave her home due to her fears and anxieties.

Furthermore, her facial expression appears fearful, possibly because she is in the house alone and her sad expression reflects her feeling of isolation. She looks off into the distance- not making eye contact with the camera. The woman appears troubled- lost in her own negative thoughts.

There is also a use of shadow on her face, somewhat making her fade into the background slightly and could signify how she feels as though she's being forgotten. The use of red is symbolic, because it makes her stand out in contrast to her much darker environment- reflecting how she feels out of place even in her own home, or out of sorts in her own mind.
