Ken loach is renowned for capturing the audiences attention by portraying the hard hitting truth of certain people in the UKs situations. His work is often controversial which can attract him negative attention due to the honest nature of his films. Some of Loaches most famous films include "Kes" (1969) and "Riff Raff" (1991).

Loach found it important to concentrate on the action in front of the camera, rather than making the camera move with sharp erratic movement . He tended to move towards a more observational style rather than a kind of camera being with the action running around, but standing back and observing it.All of kens editing was also all aimed at making the story and the plot as believable as possible to get his real message across.

There are many thematic concerns with loaches movies. The most prominent being the sympathy that is produced towards characters or groups of people that are stereotyped as being the villains in the Scenario. For example coal mine strikers,Which would subsequently spread new ideas.

Ken loach had very strong left wing ideologies which we can see mirrored through his movies with themes of working class poverty and injustice.
