the Confetti album is Little Mixes 6th studio album released November 6th 2020 featuring 13 tracks, including the chart topping track 'Sweet melody' which went to number 1. I decided to listen to this album as over the years I have consecutively kept up with little mix since their days on the X- Factor in 2011, listening to all their albums collecting merchandise and attending most live shows making it seem necessary to listen to this album the day of its release. Little mixes target audiences differ, however this specific album is mainly targeted to young women as topics such as self love and women empowerment showing their new and improved attitude towards men are portrayed throughout. the reason the album did so well is partly due to the brand and name Little Mix have made for themselves over the last decade, while overcoming scrutiny in the media for how they dress etc and standing up to backlash when called for. especially to piers Morgan. they also released multiple songs before the release creating excitement amongst fans. including sweet melody, holiday breakup song happiness and not a pop song which features lyrics hinting at the bad treatment received by their label, in particular Simon Cowell
