Media Diaries: Too many ads?

Within our day to day life we are exposed to adverts through not only media such as TV (a person is exposed to 45 ads a day minimum), social media such as Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube and Twitter which covered with sponsorships with not only the app itself but also celebrities like the Kardashians and Jenner's with products like Sugar bear hair and HiSmile. However, as the general public we are exposed to advertisements through other things like billboards, print (leaflets), and radio. The bigger the platform or media method the more likely it is going to contain a large amount of adverts. For example, within newspapers, we are exposed to adverts or sponsorships that pay to be put within the newspapers or on the front page next to shocking sensationalised headlines because newspapers are read on a daily basis.

Furthermore, adverts are able to shape are opinions on heather we should buy the product with how they are shown to the public. For example, celebrities are used the most within the advertisement industry due to celebrities such as Katy Perry, the Kardashians, and many more who choose to indorse the product which will allow them to make a profit when their fans and audience follow their words and buy the product- whether that be fashion or makeup. It is more likely to be purchased if the product is indorsed by a trusted celebrity within the public eye. In my opinion, this can be both a positive and negative, due to some celebrities endorsing a product not because it is safe for use or a good product, but because they can make money from each purchase.
