In this day and age there is no escaping advertising whether that's on social media, when we are watching television or film or when we are simply walking down the street. We are constantly exposed to advertising of some description , sometimes glaringly obvious and sometime we don't notice it at all. However is the extent of this adversting ruining and making how we see the world, art and culture artificial and fake.

However is the extent of this adverting ruining and making how we see the world, art and culture artificial and fake.ent that she would be sharing her journey with acne through social media in order to make a change for others with Kris Jenner stating that she is " Brave and vulnerable for sharing her most raw story in order to make a positive impact for so many people and help foster a positive dialogue is a testament to the incredible woman you've become". Kendall Jenner is a high profile celebrity as far as the younger generation is concerned and a very popular model , so is a big role model for many young girls. By referring to her acne struggle and how she got through it, it makes her seem normal and relatable, so many people got excited about this.however when the hyped up video emerged on social media, it turned out just to be a advert for "pro active" skincare, which Kendall claims cleared up her acne which is most likely not true. This caused a lot of controversy and she is gaining profit from exploiting peoples insecurities and most likely false advertising a product.

Another media type that I think of when I think of the over use of ads and how it could be damaging is product pl a regular user of social media its easy to become absorbed in the ideas presented on platforms such as Instagram about reality, however when you take a step back and evaluate it deeper you can see how many of these ideas are constructed by ads. For example , in January 2019 Kendall Jenner made an announcment that she would be sharing her journey with acne through social media in order to make a change for others with Kris jenner stating that she is " Brave and vunerable for sharing her most raw story in order to make a positive impact for so many people and help foster a positive dialogue is a testament to the incredible woman you've become". kendall Jenner is a high profile celbrity as far as the younger generation is concerned and a very popular model , so is a big role model for many young girls.By referring to her acne struggle and how she got through it, it makes her seem normal and relatable, so many people got excited about this.however when the hyped up video emerged on social media, it turned out just to be a advert for "pro active" skincare, which kendall claims cleared up her acne which is most likely not true. Another media type that I think of when I think of the over use of ads and how it could be damaging is product placement in films. Films are supposed to be a art and a form of entertainment . however in recent years we can see more and more adverts popping up during the actuall film in subtle ways. When you go to the cinema to watch a film, you expect there to be adverts on before however people are unaware of the subconscious nods to advertising that take place during a film.

product placement like the ones shown above are very subtle however if you notice them they become glaringly obvious and ruin the escape from reality that a film should provide.

Advertising on TV has always had a 'genre' which are designed to look more like documentaries - these are sometimes referred to as infomercials. Generally speaking they use a sense of realism as a way of detracting from the fact that you're watching an advert. However these more modern forms of infomercial that have celebrities in them, almost make it feel as though you are watching a section from a biography of some kind.

Which of course leads neatly to your second point, about the ubiquity of product placement. How well this kind of product placement actually works must be very hard to tell - but I definitely think it's an issue. I'm sure that some people would argue that…

I agree with her views and like the quote from kris Jenner and the impact that the media has on people especially people in the lime light, but the contrast of also how they could profit off of it. The different types of media are explained well and could elaborate on the entertainment and film media industry as what she wrote was really interesting.
