MF DOOM was the stage name of American rapper Daniel Dumile (July 13th 1971 - October 31st 2020). He produced a lot of his own music and would often go under various personas for his different albums, some examples including King Geedorah and Viktor Vaughn. During his career he became a major figure in underground hip hop, with his intricate wordplay as well as his iconic mask inspiring many future artists.

He was best known for his prolific period in the early 2000s, releasing many popular albums back to back such as Operation Doomsday, Take me to your Leader, Vaudeville Villain, MM FOOD.. and Madvillainy. His album Madvillainy often heralded as his Magnus opus was a collaborative project between him and producer Madlib. Whilst only one full album was ever produced, over the years the pair would still work on tracks together. Such as the song Monkey Suite included on the Chrome Children compilation album. Chrome Children was a collaborative project between-production between the Stones Throw Record label as well as the American programming block Adult Swim.
