Mulan

The live action remake of Mulan released in 2020 tries to challenge the gender stereotypes that women are not allowed to be warriors and should stay at home and look after their children and clean the house but Mulan tries to stray away from this stereotype. The movie poster tries to show that Mulan is more powerful than the men as she is shown to be in the foreground and the three men are in the background even though the other woman who is the antagonist is in the background she still has a more prominent role than to other men. this shows that society is trying to move away from the male prominence in movies. The role of the three men in the poster still shows that the women have to still have a male counterpart and cannot do everything without the men. The costume of Mulan is very similar to the men because she cannot be seperate from them if she is being apart of what there doing she needs to pretend that she is a man so that she can be taken seriously and can follow
