Inhaler are an Irish indie rock band formed in Dublin. They are made up of four high school friends, front man lead singer and guitarist Elijah Hewson, guitarist Josh Jenkins, bassist Bobby Keating and drummer Ryan McMahon. They released their debut album "It Won't Always be Like This" in 2021 becoming a fan favourite in the modern indie genre. Since then they have went on to release 2 more album "Cuts and Bruises" in 2023 and most recently "Open Wide" in 2025. The lead single for this album was in October 2024, and was the only single to receive an official music video. They are currently signed to Intercope Records.

Its interesting to be aware that front man Eli has benefitted from nepotism, as his dad is U2 frontman Bono. However, the band have tried their best to distant themselves from the image of "nepo babies" and stand out on their own accord.

Inhaler have built up their fan base by releasing indie music, in contrast this song is more prog rock inspired with a slower chilled vibe. This single marks the first time they have worked with producer Kid Harpoon. It is noticeable within their discography this change as the album is a lot more polished in comparison to their other work, following a more indie pop take on music. This song is also the first time they have used female backing vocals demonstrating how they are becoming more experimental as a band.

The music video has a unique take on combining performance and narrative. The video opens with a shot of a woman walking whilst swinging a handbag then it cuts to lead singer Eli being thrown around a room. From this we can gather he is in the bag. From previous albums a clear theme within the bands song writing is romance and heartbreak therefore a song like this is not unfamiliar to fans. A music video like this offers them an oppurtunity to highlight their lyricism, Eli lipsyncing whilst the plot is continuing around him, acting out the lyrics he is singing. Further along into the video there is a spoken part cameo by the other band members, mainly the drummer Ryan. it pokes fun at the concept of the video has the woman throws the bag into the road and they question her behaviour. However it is done in a funny and witty sense, it also adds more to the storyline as Eli becomes even more injured. This demonstrates how a band doesn't just consist of a frontman, there are others involved too. Many of their past music videos have just been performance videos of the band playing the song, very simplistic and plain. This music video again, marks how they are willing to be more experimental in this era.

This is Inhaler's third cover for dork, in collaboration with the promotion of their third album. This shoot is extremely 80s inspired as we can see by their fashion and the lighting/ colour theme. This reflects the direction the album took showing influence from a lot of 80s synth and pop. Additionally, frontman Eli is at the centre of this cover, however his band ates are equally featured on this cover.
