Music video -
The one moment
The music video opens with an enigma code showing the entirety of the video at normal speed making it too difficult for the audience to process what is going on in the scene then there is an action code with the copy saying that the 4.7 second video will be played again at a slower speed the video is then shown at 1.75% of its original speed. The use of colour throughout the video could be seen as semiotic code to represent the concept that we need to accept the things around us and express our moment rather than simply just speeding through and not arguing about the things around us and worrying about things that may not matter in the long run this concept is furthered through the fact that the video is played at such a slow speed. Furthermore, the use of a continuous shot could be done to represent the idea of life being one continuous moment.
websites
Ok Go's websites similarly to the music video has a very stylised feel and has a modern minimalistic aesthetic to the site. The site has three main links featured on the front page that when the cursor is moved over them they automatically play a series of short video clips and the colour of the font changes from white to a light green red or blue again suggesting the simplicity with the connotations through the use of the primary colours.
The primary colour chosen is consistent throughout the linked page being used on the band, this links back to the home page. Additionally the use of colour serves to highlight the previously obscured logo of the band in the upper left hand corner furthermore the colours and consistency from the band being represent/ associated with certain colour in their music videos.
Further down on the first page there is a link to the band's store as well as links to the band's social media pages.
