Here the paper has used the binary opposition of Trump Vs. Clinton or Republican Vs. Democrat. This can be seen in the choice of images used. For example, the image of Clinton makes her appear weak and unstable as she is holding onto the handrail going down the stairs. This makes her seem older than she is. In contrast, the image of Trump is of him using his iconic facial expression and hand gesture. This makes him appear like the most well- know or popular of the two, automatically putting him in a higher position of power. In addition to this, other things that he is well- known for is shown around him, such as the anchorage: "The wall will be built". Moreover, the two candidates are shown to be complete opposite as seen in Trump's body language, associated with being arrogant, in comparison with Clinton's more gently appearance with the anchorage: "Fighting for what's right is worth it". Furthermore, the picture of Trump is just focusing on him, with the flag in the background being faded out, whereas the picture of Clinton includes the flag fully. This suggests that the larger part of America has pride in Clinton and suggests a more patriotic outlook.
