This photo is an evident medium longshot from one of the figures from the Charles Bridge in Prague, Czech Republic. The figure is bowing down to the supermoon which took place on the 26th of April, to what it seems it is protecting itself with a cross. With religious connotations, the moon – which is the brightest and focus from the camera’s perspective – couldsymbolise the deviland, moreover, the figure is trying to bring light upon itself. As the camera doesn’t capture the essence of the figure, it’s hard to dictate what it is wearing and what its purpose is. However, as it is looking down to the ground, we can take this as a reading that if it stares into the moon’s features for too long, it will become what it fears. In contrast, blue is recognised as a calm and serene colour which could indicate that the figure is trying to bring and step into the light without harm.
