Photo analysis: supermoon

The main focus of this picture is the super moon but it is still obstructed by the Statue of liberty creating a sense of equal focus on the two, a duality between the dark and shadowy statue and the moon in its full glow.
Both the moon and the statue are just off centre frame, with neither truly being in the centre this exaggerates sense of sharing the lime light (literally.)
The statue of liberty turning its back to the camera makes it seem that just like the spectator its enjoying the spectacle.
There may be a deeper meaning to this image, the statue of liberty is a very iconic American image, an embodiment of its freedom and liberty, and the moon itself was first explored by the Americans, planting their flag to signify the grandeur of the achievement, pair these two together and you get the ultimate American iconography. The statues fixed position of its right arm raised is especially significant in this image, it is almost as though the statue is rasing a toast to the accomplishments of the American people.
