Doja Cat is an American rapper and singer who became a viral success in 2018. Over the past few years, Doja Cat has received lots of success over social media, including TikTok, which is arguably the reason why she has become such a huge success, as she has had many of her songs on viral on the platform. She has been nominated for many music awards and has won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo Performance. It's also known that Doja Cat has been involved in many controversial scandals throughout her career, which has resulted in people have mixed opinions on her.

Doja Cat has become a big name within the music industry over the past few years and lots of people have positive opinions on her. However, recently people have noticed that she has 'changed' the way she looks and the way she dresses, away from what everyone knows her for. As she has become hugely popular on the social media platform, TikTok, she is known for her absurdly humorous personality and social media posts as she doesn't act like the usual celebrity who is reserved and doesn't show much of their personality to the public. This has come with criticism for her because people started to think she was weird because she had developed strange behaviours, which is completely different to how she used to be before she her career blew up. Recently, Doja Cat has received more criticism for how she has seemed to change from what everyone knows her as, because she has developed a new sense of style, like shaving her head and dressing in outgoing outfits. This has further developed people opinions on her and how people view her as 'weird' as people started to question her mental health. As she shaved her head, people started to compare her to Britney Spears who also shaved her head when she had a 'mental breakdown', which was hugely controversial in itself. Because of this, people started to question the same thing with Doja Cat and said she was starting to go 'insane', which was all because of her representation in the media as she as featured on magazine covers, interviews, and social media posts, showing off her new look.
Another representation of Doja Cat is race and gender, as she is a hugely successful black female in the music industry. Her 2021 album, 'Planet Her', became a massive success worldwide and has generated 5 billion streams and many of the songs have trended on TikTok.
