Black Window came out in 2020 by marvel studios.

The main character black window shown in the centre acts as a role model for women as she is the main character this is shown as she is right in the centre of the poster and all of the characters are in faded into the background. marvel have done this to emphasise who the main character is. The theorist David Gauntlett would see her as role model for woman because she was the first marvel superhero on the averages team and the second female to have their own film in marvel, it shows she is equal to men. This represents woman who want to be equal to men. This is a step up for the character as she has been in the background of some of the other posters of movies she has been in having her more a side character not the main character compared to her male co stars. Until she got her own film changing this by making her the main character.
It also represents woman who are struggling against male oppression as the majority of the cast is female which can show woman who do struggle with male oppression that you don't need a man. With the co antagonist being female helps to be a role model as she is the one with better lighting on her behind the main character. with her character being strong like her con star and her skills are quite equal to male actors in this genre.
Black window is the name of a type of female, which is known as a spider that kills the male spider. Marvel writer Stan Lee could of used this idea of the spider to make one his female characters act a bit like as she was meant to be a very trained fighter who kills men or mainly anyone.
