Sabrina Carpenter - Music Marketing

Sabrina Carpenter first began her career by performing in school productions and posting covers online before landing roles on Disney Channel shows, which helped her gain a young fanbase. Her early music, including songs from her debut album Eyes Wide Open, introduced her as a talented pop singer-songwriter with relatable lyrics about growing up, friendships, heartbreak, and self-discovery. Sabrina quickly became a voice for young audiences navigating life’s ups and downs, offering both encouragement and honesty through her music.

Recently, Sabrina announced her latest album 'Man's Best Friend', which she wrote while balancing touring and acting projects. Her live performances, including headlining festival appearances and intimate tours, show her versatility as an artist from catchy, upbeat pop tracks to reflective, emotional ballads. Watching her perform is a transformative experience which I was grateful enough to see her live on her 'Short n' Sweet' tour back in March and the just recently with her headlining Hyde Park in London. She moves effortlessly between playful, confident pop star moments and vulnerable, introspective storytelling. In doing so, she stages her own artistic journey: the debut, rise to fame, exploration of identity, and continued growth as a performer and songwriter, proving that she is both a relatable role model and a fearless creator.

Carpenter’s “Manchild” music video has been a huge inspiration for my music video, especially in expressing frustration with immature behavior in relationships. The video’s playful yet pointed depiction of dealing with someone who refuses to grow up perfectly captures the feeling of being fed up with boys who act carelessly or avoid responsibility. Watching Sabrina confidently call out this behavior while still having fun and owning her power reminded me that it’s okay to set boundaries and express my feelings honestly. The mix of humor, sass, and empowerment in the visuals motivates me to channel my own experiences into creative projects and to approach difficult situations with confidence and self-respect.
