Masthead: Sans Serrif Black Letter font with sharp draconian features that seems royally formal and elegant, yet sharply dangerous. These royal implications are furthered by, under the image of a lion and a unicorn holding up the Crown, the phrase: 'DIEU ET MON DROIT' can be seen, which is latin for: 'God and my right hand' the motto of the British monarch. The two creatures can both connote strength, pride and and awe but the fictional unicorn is often representative of something mystical and awe-inspiring.
Headline:
Layout/design: Advertisement of 'Good Sleep guide" seems ironic, as the implications of domestic bliss and the TWO free pillows implying a large enough bed to be shared contrast the dramatic story of a domestic row which, as he headline suggests, turned incredibly heated at some point. Furthermore, the mise-en-scene shows that the photographs of the 'culprits' are distanced to either side of the page
