For Shane Meadows, he created the movie This is England. For Patrick Keiller he created the movie, The Full Monty. Usually, the visual style for Social Realism film is that it typically uses a black and white visual display as it shows the struggle of the character and what they are going through and the issues of doing something. The common themes and ideology of these types of films are Social Injustice which is a term where they show unequal treatment towards a group within that society. Another common theme is Racial Injustice where a person is discriminating them and treated them differently due to their skin, gender, race, or ethnic origin. Another types of themes that they present at money, drugs, prostitution, and sex, which shows the negative aspect of how people live life, and it uses different types of views, for example political, class and religion. In British films, they show this accurate representation, where people view the world different where they think about the negative aspects of life in general but not the positive aspect as most movie focus on the hardships of it. For example, the movie Bullet boy, which was directed by Saul Dibb, as they show us the reality of the world and how there is another side to it. There are certain film companies which are associated with Social Realism, one of them is Crown Film Unit. This is England:

The director who created this movie, his name is Shane Meadows. The movie came out in 2006 but it was originated, and the setting was in 1983, where British people had different views and perspectives towards in this era of living. The style that they use is that they do not use any special effects in the movie because they just want the audience to know what is happening straight way so that, they know that this could be going around in the world. The problems that are shown in the movie is that the person named Shawn has been introduced to a gang, due to his feeling and view being changed since his father has died. One camera shot that they consistently used is close shot because it shows the emotion on the character and how the character is currently feeling. The film almost looks quite sad and depressing because of how real it looks and it shows how some people can relate to the movie. In the movie, it shows how a lot of people have a lot of freedom and free time to do what every they want to do, like for example taking drugs. In Social Realism movies, they show how the working conditions where people who are not successful, as it shows a sense of sympathy and shows their struggles, compared to a person who does not have any issues or struggles and it shows the comparison of people who are rich and who are not rich, where people who are successful, they would not have any struggles, where for examples people who are no successful have many struggles. The movie shows different styles and techniques where it shows the other side of British people, where mostly it shows a close shot, where it shows all the main characters emotion and how she feels currently, like for example she enjoys dancing which feel like she can escape from reality, and this is called escapism. In some of these shots, they use drugs as a sign of stress and relaxation where they can feel very normal and very energetic. In these frequent shots, they use, drugs, prostitution, and sex. This shows how this is normalized and very stereotypical where people who have experience these types of factors, knows what is going on. In the movie, it shows deprived areas where people are brought up from where, people have seen what has been going around, which can be sign of where can be able to do.
