We see the stereotypes of the dumb blonde used repeatedly throughout media and is a stereotype that had stood around for a long time.This can be seen through a number of different media types.

Mean girls

We see this stereotype in mean girls through the character of Karen smith.Karen dense appearance to have an thing else about her in the oil spat from being Blonde, pretty and dumb.We also infer this through Karens appearance as it is something we associate with being stupid. For example, the cloths she wears and the way she is obsessed with her hair and makeup all make her appear self obsesses adding to the dumb stereotype.

Big Bang theory

We can also see this stereotype through TV and sitcoms for example the big bag theory.Penny especially stands out sash is surrounded by a number of incredibly clever people which subsequently makes her appear more stupid and adds to the stereotype of the dumb blonde.She is also the only blonde in the original and permanent cast again emphasising the stereotype of the dumb blonde.The juxtaposition of Penny compared to the other characters makes the audience recognise this difference and pa attention nd label penny character as this stereotype.
