The BFI

The BFI, or the British Film Institute is a cultural charity that supplies money to British filmmakers (mostly upcoming indie ones) so that they can make their films and hopefully turn Britain into a country of amazing film makers to rival the likes of America.


The BFI might not be here today if it weren't for the funding from various places, namely, the national lottery.

As stated above, the national lottery helps to fund the BFI, a portion of proceeds from ticket money goes to the BFI to help indie filmmakers
