Dazed magazine is a fashion, celebrity culture, beauty and lifestyle magazine, which often features popular models, actors/actresses, musicians, amongst other celebrities.
It appeals to a mass/ mainstream target audience due to both its content and those featured inside the magazine; an example of this would be the fact they had actor Bill Skasgard on the front cover at the time his breakout film 'IT' was released, showing how the magazine is very current and keeps up with social affairs.
The informal layout and photography style which the magazine has is definitely something which I would consider using in my magazine as I feel that it presents the ideologies as not intimidating to the audience and perhaps as almost a secondary element.
The magazine itself is quite versatile as it features a range of celebrities from a range of genres, suggesting that there is something for everyone. Again, this is something which I would look to use in my magazine due to the fact that my target audience of mainstream millennials are beginning to show a broader range in interests and tastes, so I feel that by including a broad amount of representations would appeal both to them, and niche audiences.
Currently there are no videos similar to that of option B, however Dazed's YouTube channel includes a mixture of both serious and light hearted content; for example they produced a video on gun violence in a response to recent school shootings in America, but they also have more comedic videos (eg celebrities pulling pranks on one another). This is an appeal as it reflects the interests of the target audience, and I feel that the cultural issues that the magazine talks of is especially something which I would use for my magazine.
