Good Housekeeping is a women's lifestyle magazine aimed at over 20's, which centres itself around housewives/ stay at home mothers. An appeal of this magazine is the fact that celebrities give tips about being a housewife, looking good and feeling happy etc. The colour scheme for the magazine is always bright and bold, this is something I would use in my magazine due to the fact that it is eye catching and makes the magazine feel quite light hearted
The inside of the magazine is very copy heavy, this is something which I would avoid doing in my magazine due to the fact that it can make the magazine become quite boring/uninteresting and I don't feel as though this is something which my target audience would enjoy. The magazine does give more of an insight into the lives of the celebrities which again is an appeal due to the fact that it adds a sense of exclusivity and also makes the reader feel more connected to the celebrity.
The youtube page for the magazine is very active, and posts a range of various things (eg cooking, celebrity culture and vines). This is an appeal as it reflects how the magazine stays up to date with the things that its readers enjoy, I would try to transfer this into my magazine due to the fact that it shows how the magazine is also quite versatile.
