Jamiroquai are an English acid Jazz and funk band from London. The band which was formed in 1992 is lead by vocalist Jay Kay who many often mistake the entire band for being. They are known for their rock, disco, electronic and Latin music genres such as Bossa Nova. Many of their early work were dedicated to social issues and environmental justice hence the name for their debut album being Emergency on Planet Earth. However the band has since received criticism primarily for Jay Kay’s love of cars, which inspired his third albums cover and name Travelling Without Moving, a phrase to describe the sensation of driving. The bands aesthetic was heavily inspired by. Their philosophies of Native Americans, which helped design the bands logo. Their second album, The Return of the Space Cowboy was released October 17th 1994, supported by 5 singles. The last of which being the song Stillness in Time, release 19th June 1996.
The music video is praised for being a rare occurrence where the entire ensemble for the band are present in one video as most music videos tend to focus on just Jay Kay. The video is set in the Australian Outback.
