The songs lyrics are describing the story of Gef the alleged talking mongoose who supposedly inhabited a farmhouse owned by the Irving family. In the Isle of Man near the hamlet of Dolby. The story gained the attention of the tabloid press as well as paraspychologists and ghost hunters in the early 1930s. The lyrics are direct transcripts of what the Irving’s claimed that Gef had said to them. The music video features a POV shot of a camera as it travels through a forest littered with notes painted with the lyrics. It creates a sense of mystery as it toys with the listener, who are likely unaware of what the lyrics relate to until the end of the song.

At the very end of the music video we get the reveal that the lyrics were pertaining to the story of Gef the ferret, represented by a taxidermy Mongoose in a brawl with a snake, relating to the real life conflict between the two species as both are known to hunt each other down.

Gef is referred to as the Eigth Wonder of the world referencing the Seven World Wonders. Implying that the mystique and legacy left by this bizarre occurrence is on par with the worlds other wonders in terms of intrigued and legacy.
