Coming in at number ten on both Matt & Nicks' lists is Christopher Nolan's first feature film; Following. A 'no budget' suspense noir which lays out many of the tropes & thematic preoccupations that will feature in the rest of his canon to date. Stylistically, Following feels a million miles from its big budget ancestors in many ways but Matt finds the roots of that family tree and Nick manages to overuse the word: 'Nolanesque'.
