This photograph uses the rule of thirds technique, with the main subject of the photo taking up over 1/3rd of the frame.the image is in black and white, allowing the viewer to get a full view of all the details of the infamous ship. the focus is specifically zoomed on to the ship in order to gain a clearer view on just how much damage the iceberg did to the ship, and how it led to the loss of so many lives. the mise en sene in the background point to this picture being taken underwater, with the ship embedded within the ocean.
this is the titanic from a different angle, more zoomed in so one can more easily view the specific details of the decay of the mast of the ship, which is still instantly recognisable even after all these years. the colour pallette is dull, giving more focus to the shape and detail of the damage done rather then the colours seen within. even from this angle you can tell that the titanic is a huge ship, and that these photos by themselves could never possibly hope to properly represent the tragedy that was the sinking of the titanic.
