The Hitman's Bodyguard

This poster for The Hitman's bodyguards would have a wide range of viewers because from the poster you can see that this will be apart of the action/comedy genre. Which could mean that the main audience will be male of any race but mostly a white middle aged man with an average income who is using this poster for entertainment and escapism. However the audience will be apart of the mainstream because there is two world famous actors with Ryan Reynolds and Samuel .L Jackson who are known for both serious and comedic movies.

The appeals behind this poster is to show the strength behind Ryan's character but also represent the comedic value as Samuel is presenting a straight serious face which could show that he is trying to act serious which represents some of the key elements of the poster/movie. The writing on the left of the poster that read "Never let him out of your sight", "never let your guard down" and "never fall in love" tells you about what the movie is about. Its about an untrustworthy relationship between two partners who betray each other throughout the movie but also that there is a hint of romance either with these two characters or characters that are off screen for example one of the actors in the fine print "Salma Hayek" who is the next name after the two characters who are in the poster which shows that she will play a main part in the film but not a vital part to the storyline as she isn't featured in the poster or the two main names at the top of the poster.

The main part of this poster is too sell ticket to the movie for the cinema which may be the reason for "Never fall in love" because it makes the audience question who is falling in love and who it is with. Also the "never let your guard down" and "never let him out of your sight" shows that there will be many twists and turns because it makes the reader infer there is gonna be a lot of betrayal and untruthful behavior.
