Vogue Magazine Research

Vogue Magazine is an iconic and influential publication that sets the standard for fashion, beauty, and culture worldwide. With a legacy spanning over a century, Vogue is synonymous with elegance, style, and sophistication, offering readers an unparalleled window into the world of haute couture and artistic expression. Vogue Magazine stands as an iconic pillar of luxury, creativity, and aspiration, captivating readers with its fusion of artistry, fashion, and culture. It remains a beacon for those seeking to explore and celebrate the world of beauty, design, and artistic expression, that relies on celebrity culture, editorial excellence, social commentary, and its historical impact. I would assume that the main demographic of Vogue magazine’s viewers would be a part of the aspirer in the 4C’s model, due to the celebrity culture and aspirational views.

Vogue magazine is a place that breaks down and challenges social norms, and this cover certainly aligns with these ideas. This cover depicts Vogue’s oldest model Apo Whang-Od aged 106. An older age group is one that is both under and misrepresented in the magazine industry. On this cover, Apo is represented as a powerful and independent woman. The producers do this in the framing as she is centered and by herself, which gives connotations of independence. Furthermore, the use of facial expression as she is staring directly into the camera suggests that she is direct and powerful.

The Vogue website is also an essential part of how they entertain and market themselves. On the online website, there is a lot of variety in terms of content with coverage on majorly fashion and beauty trends, runway coverage, lifestyle, and celebrity culture. On the website, there are multiple different categories and dedicated sections for separate parts of Vogue’s brand identity. Firstly, there is a fashion, beauty, culture, living, runway, and shopping section on the Vogue website for viewers to read for their own individual enjoyment in what interests them. Furthermore, Vogue’s social media platforms are very important. Vogues operates on many platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Tik Tok. These social media accounts are very important in how they are viewed as a brand, how the readers engage with their content, and how they engage with each other. Vogue frequently posts on each platform which allows their fanbase to engage with not only their magazine content but also their online content, with running series and general content on lifestyle and beauty.
