The lyrics within the song reflects on Arianas past relationships. "Thought I'd end up with Sean/But he wasn't a match/Wrote some songs about Ricky/Now I listen and laugh/ Even almost got married/And for Pete, I'm so thankful/Wish I could say 'Thank you' to Malcolm/'Cause he was an angel".

The video references four of the most successful movies of the 2000s: Mean girls, Bring it on, Legally Blond and 13 Going on 30. The music video uses a range of well known individuals within her music video, therefore, widening the target audience and therefore, the increasing the publicity of the video.

The 2016 John Lewis advert appealed to audiences as it returned to a more traditional heart-warning tone, after last years man on the moon advert which many viewers labelled as too melancholic.

The advert follows the story of a young girl, several wild animals and a Boxer dog, named buster. The advert intends gain publicity for the John Lewis company.

The video appeals to the audiences need to nurture as it features a selection of young animals as well as Buster who dreams to take part in the activity the other animals are taking part in. Therefore, the audience empathises with Buster. This triggers emotion and therefore provokes the audience to remember the advert, and therefore, remember John Lewis during the Christmas Period.
