Hit by seventeen is a song which came out in 2017 which shows a change of style with it being an EDM song which still has harmonises by one of the members. It reflects their change as an artist and that two of the members made the song. the music video reflects the talents of them and help give the image of a self producing group. This can also show they are finally making it in the industry.
The music video is a convention of performance as the group is seen to be lip-synching to the camera and showing of their over talent which is dancing. In the first shot of the singing in the video the one of then members is hanging onto a rope and then the lighting changes to were see still see the background but the silhouette of the person singing is being shown. This helps people stay focused on the lyrics of the song. While they sing they are looking at the camera full on showing confidence in there skills and they are keeping addressing the audience so they can not forget about the song in the background. They are also doing gestures which can show confidence and refence the lyrics of the song.
Through out the music video the director has the camera moving on beat with the music this helps to show off the skills of the artist and to show off the artist by looks as in some clips they are posing in to. They did this to help fans see the artist and can help them with being able to expand in the skill set and do modelling. the video was all set in doors on all kinds of sets in some scenes they look glamorous and it makes them look like someone to work with . helps them to gain more opportunities' in the future.
With the music video being a sensory over load the scenes with a sky background become noticeable and with the song going slower it gives a calming affect to the viewer before the build up to the chorus starts Same near the end were one of the members is floating in water during the last calm part of the song. you can hear them saying breathe during this this could be a hint of being relaxed.
Throughout the dancing scenes and some member scenes there is lights flashing which is in beat with the music this gives an element to the performance and can make them stand out. the lights flashing are also used as an transition during the dance break from a white background to a colourful background then to a black background.
Throughout the music they are seen to be jumping which references one of the lyrics which says we're free, jump. This could reference that they don't have rules to follow and as they make their own music could hit towards we can make what we want. The jumping is shown throughout the video for that lyric and they have nearly all members to that.

An other reason why they done it could be to help them get known to look nice and be able to model during their career as an artist.
